I am now a mom! I learned I had passed court at 1:12 p.m. What fabulous news and what a relief to be past this part! Now I am waiting for an embassy date and then I can book my trip. I still lack my I-171H updated form from immigration. Fingerprints.
It is also very odd that on November 13th, 2006 I sent my original adoption application on its merry way in the mail. Now, three years later to the day my case is approved. It was supposed to be the 18th, but a few other cases were heard early, so I wasn't sure when I would hear something. A very pleasant surprise! Other families say they don't sleep the night before court. They should trick us all into thinking our court date is later because I slept great, not knowing. I think I will sleep well tonight as well, if I can get my brain to shut off. I've been making a mental "to do list" all evening because I've been procrastinating a little, or maybe alot, and now I have to get going on all those pre-trip projects I promised myself I would tackle. That will have to wait. My eyelids are half closed.
